Dear Parents and Students,
The assignments that I have outlined in this week's MY HW APP are for this week March 15-21 and next week, March 22-28, 2020. TRMS has outlined a daily schedule with an assigned subject for each day. You are welcome to follow the TRMS daily schedule or work on Social Studies at your own pace. The assignments are structured and can easily be completed in the 2, 120 minute periods that you are required to work on Social Studies.

I have set up a Google Phone Number today for you to call me between the hours on 10 am-12 pm for help with assignments. The number is 770-676-1476. Emails mcdonaldd1@fultonschools.org will also be responded to the required 24 hour time period.

Several students did not take their Social Studies workbooks and folders home yesterday (mostly 5th period), as directed. I will be at TRMS until 12 noon today for students to pick up items that you need (including paper documents. Please let me know when you are coming. I do live in the district, if needed to make other arrangements for getting your materials.

  • Continue working on SE Asia Culture and Religion PPT and Graphic Organizer. 
  •  The Culture "placemat" is an "activator."  Use the Placemat to write, draw, and list everything you know about Culture, in general or specific to SE Asia.  This activity is similar to what we did as a class with Africa and the post it notes.  Remember?  
  • The Ethnic and Culture Activity: cut the list of items into strips and place them in the appropriate column.  As you go through the PPT make corrections by moving the strips to the appropriate column, then glue them.
  • The Religions graphic organizer is simple, follow the powerpoint and write down the info for each religion in the appropriate box.
  • Enjoy the videos!
