Stan Gudder, an American Mathematician is quoted as "The essence of Mathematics is not to make simple things complicated, but to make complicated things simple." This is a philosophy that I take on board with my teaching and is paramount in all my lessons. I believe Mathematics is beautiful and derive great satisfaction in solving problems by breaking them into smaller manageable chunks. Thus, turning what seems like an impossible question into a neat solution.
