I hope everyone had a great weekend! This week, we will participate in our own archaeological dig! Remember to bring supplies if you have them and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. In science we will practice making line graphs and designing another experience (variables and hypothesis are back!) We will create and use Fraction Tic-Tac-Toe boards to practice adding and subtracting fractions, with a quiz on Friday! We will review for the quiz before Friday :) In ELA, we will continue reading short stories and mapping them out with Freytag's pyramid. Don't forget your TV assignment is due Tuesday and we have a word study quiz. 

In Learning Center we will be reviewing the math, exploring new apps, reviewing theme, and answering any questions you have about what's happening in class.

I hope you all had a great weekend! Some things to look forward to this week include continuing to learn about short stories and practicing identifying the theme and important parts. In math we will continue learning about fractions, with a quiz on Wednesday. Don't worry, we will be reviewing before the quiz :) In science we will learn how to measure mass and weight using a triple beam balance. We will also learn how to draw what we see as scientists. In social studies, we will continue learning about archaeology to prep for our archaeological dig! 

In Learning Center we will be working on reading comprehension, math review, organization, and writing.

I hope you all enjoyed the long weekend and are well rested. This week, we are going to continue learning about fractions, and have our first fraction quiz on Wednesday. The quiz will focus on finding equivalent fractions and comparing and ordering fractions. In Social Studies, we will begin learning about Archaeology and the interesting things people have discovered through archaeological digs across the world. In Science, you will wrap up your experiments and reflections and begin learning about different kinds of reactions. In ELA, we will continue learning about literary elements and exploring different short stories to practice what we learn. 

In Learning Center we will review for any upcoming assessments and answer any questions you have about what you are learning. We will also begin talking about executive functioning and what that means!
