Lundberg is currently in his ... wait for it ... 20th year teaching at Pollard Middle School. Yikes. He loves teaching (duh), especially seventh graders. Kids this age are truly earnest and wacky and completely unpredictable. Kids surprise him nearly every minute of the day, every day. He has chaired the English department at Pollard, served on a million committees, and continues to organize Field Day sand the seventh-grade Sunday River Ski trip.
Lundberg grew up in Westwood, Massachusetts. He now lives in Needham with his wife and two dogs, having moved from Medfield where his three grown children attended Medfield public schools. His oldest daughter, Anisia, attended the University of New Hamphshire and currently writes public relations copy for Highwire in Boston. His middle child, Georgia, attended Loyola University, Maryland, and is a social media manager for ArtNet in New York City. His youngest son, Colden, is a second-year student at Tulane in New Orleans studying marketing.
When he is isn't luxuriating in the company of seventh graders, Lundberg is running, biking, playing ice hockey on the weekend, sailing in the summer, and, of course, reading and writing. Lundberg recently joined the writing cooperative Grub Street and is working on a novel, what he calls a "hockey book" set in both the past and the future at the same time.
