As we study the different prime ministers since 1979, ask your parents about them. Do they remember Thatcher and the miners’ strike; the poll tax; Major and Black Wednesday; Blair and the 1997 election victory; the Iraq war; Brown and the 2007-09 financial crash
It would be interesting to get some different perspectives from mine on the key events. Plus, Emily, your Dad might actually understand what happened on Black Wednesday 1992. It was all to do with currency trading and I have never understood what took place!!!
