Read the article "Ten Things You Need To Know About Scotland's Independence Referendum." Then read the four articles on the vote for Scottish independence (resources section). Write up a summary of the main arguments being made.

1) Write about the "Yes" arguments and "No" arguments separately--indicate which arguments you think are most effective and least effective.

2) Use the details/arguments of those five pieces to help you write your own opinion piece. You should have at least three arguments in support of your position, and at least one of those should be an original argument. You should also refute at least one of the opposing side's arguments.
