Pick 10 sentences (dialogue/narration--try to have a good mix) that you think build on a theme you've seen expressed already (or that you see addressed for the first time in this section). You can also choose lines that you think help to continue to build the character of Raskolinikov. 

Write down your own argument (theme) for what the book is saying. Or if you're writing about the character development of Raskolnikov, write your own sentence that expresses how you think we're meant to view him at this point in the story.

Then write down your 10 sentences from the book with a note about how each supports your main idea from above. Be as specific as you can in stating how the line from the novel supports your claim.
