Two walk-throughs of prose passages:

Do the first one in groups.

1. Read individually
2. Mark as a group everything in the prompt and in the passage that will be useful. Try not to just underline--write notes, too. Everyone should contribute.
3. Each group is responsible for a clearly written argument that states how the author uses literary elements to develop Estrella's character.
4. Each group is responsible for a skeletal outline of your paper--have your main points and pieces of evidence you will use. Be able to discuss this in front of the class.
