Peer review:

Read your partner's essay closely. Twice.

Write in your own words at the top of the paper what you believe to be your partner's main point.

Make sure your partner's evidence is valid, convincing, and can appeal to a wide audience.

Mark/highlight any nice pieces of language you see in your partner's paper.

Write a counter-argument on their paper. What would you say against their argument?

Write down your own piece of evidence that would support your partner's argument.

Look closely at the beginning of the paper and at the conclusion--the argument should be the same.

Make sure you and your partner discuss each paper. Discussion can lead to new ideas.
