Additional Info
Read the article, then read it again and take notes as you read--look closely at how the author uses language to tell her story, and think about why she's choosing to tell her story that way. When you're finished reading and taking notes, write a page or so about the choices that might confront an author trying to tell this story and argue why you believe Contrera chose to tell this story the way she did. Make sure to address how the choices she made reflected her topic and/or message.
