After reading Aryn Kyle's Nine, you need to do one of the following prompts:

Identify the three sentences that you feel are most important to the story. Explain why you feel those sentences are important with details from the rest of the story. Think of the three sentences as dots, and you have to connect them to make the picture.

Write about a page on what you think this story is saying about what it's like to be a child. Use at least three pieces of evidence.

Pick a character other than Tess and write about his/her importance to the story. Consider: Why do we need this character? Does this character do or say anything significant/meaningful/interesting? Write about a page. Use at least three pieces of evidence.
