Additional Info

You need two columns--one for a list of what you're thinking while you're reading, and the other for a list of details you think might be important in the story.

When you're finished reading, make a list of ideas you think are present in the story--for instance, in The Road, we could say the ideas of love, survival, trust, and fear (among others) are present.

Once you have made your list, write a sentence or two about what you think the story has to say about these things; these would be messages.

Find and jot down pieces of text that lead you to these messages.

If you had to pick one overall message from the story that Bradbury is trying to communicate to his audience, what would you say it is? Provide evidence from the text.
