Additional Info
Ideas for revising the film:

  • As you go through these ideas, plan what you want to look for when you next watch the film again.
  • Read through your essays
  • Read through the sample essays (we haven't discussed the ones for 'Is Dreyman happy?' and 'Life for artists')
  • Make a list of headings for every paragraph you've ever written, e.g. 'Opening scene version B: what we learn about the GDR'
  • Read through the list of essay titles in your L6 essays folder, and make a plan for each one. Can you recycle previous paragraphs for all of them or do you need to practise anything new?
  • There's a 'Filmdossier' in the AS German Showbie group that might give you new insights into some aspects of the film.
  • Look at your list of what you want to watch out for in the film, then watch it again.
  • Write up 'adaptable' paragraphs for each of the points you might make, starting with the ones you think you're most likely to use. You might add ideas from notes, sample essays, or your latest re-watch of the film.
  •  Pick any title (e.g. 'Lower Sixth revision essay titles') and submit an answer for marking.
  • Optional: agree a different title each and share it with each other once it's marked
