Please could you aim to complete the following this week as part of your revision. We will miss our lesson on Monday so it is really important to keep on top of these things gradually as we progress through this term!

(1) Write out your response to the 20 mark question: 'Going to the theatre was more of a religious experience than a theatrical experience for a 5th century Athenian.' Explain how far you agree with this statement. (Sources = Theatre of Dionysus and Frogs 304-335). You should be aiming to write this in 28 minutes (or even better 26 as we've already planned it but you will need planning time in the exam) - please set yourself only that time and be strict with yourself otherwise there's not much point!

(2) Re-read Oedipus so that we can focus on this text next week.

(3) Continue working through the Scholars Overall PowerPoint for Frogs (in your Revision - 30 Markers section) and identify the scholars you think are most relevant for you. Remember to aim to pick ideas which might be relevant for a range of essay titles.
