Latin Easter Revision

2024-2025

Y11 Latin 2024/25

Date Due

April 22, 2025

Additional Info
Hopefully you all have a good idea of what you ought to be doing to revise for Latin over Easter.

For the Literature, you should prioritise learning the Prose Set text; we will be doing a prose paper 'mock' in the first week back, so you can target your revision to that. Beyond learning the translation, I have given you a mock paper with a mark scheme and also banks of 10 and 8 mark questions. Use these as you wish, either for planning or fully writing out answers.
For the Verse, it will be beneficial to refresh your mind of this too, since both literature exams are before half term (Prose May 15th and Verse 22nd). There are 8 and 10 mark banks for this on OneNote too.

For language, Easter is a crucial time to ensure that you have mastered the whole vocab list, including all principal parts and possible meanings. This should be a priority, as with the language exam on 8th May, there will be little time to fill any gaps once you are back in school.
I also have given you 3 mock papers with mark schemes on OneNote. This is the best practice, and will help you identify any weak spots you have.
If you realise there are grammar points you are struggling with, you can review the notes, or attempt the practice sentences 'Latin GCSE exercises Taylor' in the Summer 2024 revision section. These have answers.

If you have questions over Easter, I will be away and unavailable until Sunday 6th April. Thereafter I will check my email every few days and will respond to queries about revision or the exams.
