Learning Target: Students will recall important information from the class syllabus.

First, can anyone successfully name everyone in the class and his or her awesome fact from memory??

Today I will be going over the class syllabus and important parts of the classroom. You should have out a piece of paper and something to write with. Take notes while I am talking on anything you think will be important to remember. (We will normally take all notes in the Cornell notes style, but for today you can do whatever style you are most comfortable with.)

Parent/Guardian letter: This letter MUST be taken home to a parent or guardian. It explains to your parents some of the technology we'll be using in class and how to access it. Most importantly, it tells them how to access the class syllabus, which they have to sign electronically. Please reiterate to your parents that if I am trying to go as paperless as possible, but if they need or prefer a paper copy of either the syllabus or the receipt form, have them indicate that on the parent letter and return it to school to me.
