Please take out your Monday notes and your marking guide to complete today's activity.

When we are finished going through the grammar, you will have the remainder of the period to work on your vocabulary. 

This week, vocabulary will be done a little differently. First we will have a vocab pretest. I will read each word aloud along with a sentence using the word. On a piece of paper, you will write each word along with what you think the definition is. We will then trade papers to grade the pretest. PLEASE PUT YOUR NAME ON THE BOTTOM OF THE PAPER YOU ARE GRADING. After the pretest, tow following will happen:

• Everyone will do the first three exercises, but I will no longer require you to write the complete sentence on the "Completing the Sentence" portion. Just make a column of numbers and write the correct word (in its correct form, if applicable)
• If you scored lower than a 70% on the pretest, you will have to do one of the following things: (1) make notecards for TEN words. The word should be on the front. On the back you must have the definition, the part of speech, and a sentence that uses the word correctly. Notecards must be made of the words you missed on the pretest.  Or (2) you must complete THREE online vocabulary games. You must print your score sheets or take a photo with your phone of the screen that shows your score(s) and show me your phone. These must each be completed no later than Wednesday of each week.
