Additional Info
Literary Term: Point of View
In literature, point of view (POV) refers to the position of the narrator (the person telling the story) in relation to the story being told.
ex: "This story is told from a baby's point of view."
ex: "My novel is told from the point of view of all those who died in WWII."

Allusion: Stealing Someone's Thunder

According to Bartlett's Familiar Quotations, in 1709 the playwright John Dennis invented a new special effect for creating thunder. The play was badly received, but his special effect was not. At a performance of Macbeth some time later, Dennis heard his special effect in use, whereupon he cried, "That's my thunder, by God! The villains will not play my play but they steal my thunder."

Someone 'steals your thunder' when they use your ideas or inventions to their own advantage or when they attempt to impress people using something that you were going to use.
