Allusion #14: Tower of Babel

The story of the Tower of Babel is a Biblical explanation for the differences among languages. Determined to reach heaven and see God, Noah's descendants built a huge tower; but God, displeased with their presumption, struck all mankind with the inability to understand one another's speech.

After the final group presents, you will write a reflection essay in which you address the following questions:

  1. What was your job in your group? How well do you think you did that job?
  2. How well do you think your group members worked together? If you think you worked well together, describe why you think that was. If you think you did not work well together, describe why that was the case.
  3. How well do you feel your final lesson presentation turned out? Was it like you thought it would be? What were its strengths and weaknesses?
  4. If you had to do this project again, what would you do differently?
