This is your first and final warning that if you cannot remember to pick up your trash, drinks will no longer be allowed in the room. Please be responsible for your own belongings.

  • Our terms and allusions will be included on the test for Part One of The Odyssey, which will be tomorrow.

  • Responding to the essay question in small groups. "Conversation with the author": What is Homer using his story and his characters to tell us?

Today's reading will introduce us to three more creatures, the Sirens, Charybdis, and Scylla. This section begins on page 678 in your literature book. Please have your study guides turned to the section and we will answer the questions as we read.


Tonight: Go over your vocabulary words on page 649, review your literary terms, review your allusions, and make sure you are familiar with the details so far in The Odyssey. (Referring to your study guide will help with this.) Your study guide will be due tomorrow before the test.
