Additional Info
Unfortunately I am away today. Please follow the below instructions carefully. Once you have been registered and taken pictures of the textbook, you can go and work wherever you prefer.
  1. There should be some textbooks in M11 - I believe Mr Martin is teaching in there so please can 2 of you kindly go and ask for a few textbooks. TAKE PHOTOS OF THE PAGES AND THEN RETURN THE TEXTBOOKS.
  2. Once textbooks have been acquired, you need to go to the Disease Dilemmas Chapter 11 - in terms of the page number, my textbook is 352 but you may be a few pages before depending on which version of the textbook you've got.
  3. Find the part of the Chapter which is called 'Disease Diffusion'
  4. Use the shared blank OneNote page to make your own notes on Disease Diffusion - make sure to include the types of diffusion (including a picture of Figure 11.7), barriers to diffusion and Hagerstrand's diffusion model (including a picture of Figure 11.8)
  5. Then you are going to switch OneNote page to the '11.1.4, 11.1.5, 11.1.6 Global Patterns and Their Effect on Disease' page. You will see there are 3 headings. Please use the textbook to make notes on these 3 headings - summarise the information into your own words.
  6. If you complete this, please take a picture of Figure 11.10 which shows the monthly pattern of rainfall (white squares) and malarial parasite infection (black squares) in Uganda. Describe the relationship between rainfall and malarial infection. Explain the relationship between rainfall and malarial infection.
