After completing the puzzle activity in class on Tuesday, and reading the two Artifact scenarios yesterday, you will now be writing an essay. It will be a 4 paragraph essay reflecting on the readings, and the importance of archaeological context. The essay will be 4 paragraphs, and the Rubric is attached below: 1. Paragraph One - write about the artifact Pedro found.      • What do you know about his artifact?       • What can you tell about the people who used this artifact?      • Use examples/evidence from the text 2. Paragraph Two - write about the artifact Gina found.      • What information can you report on Gina’s artifact?       • What can you tell about the people who used this artifact?      • Use examples/evidence from the text 3. Paragraph Three - write about context. (Tip: think about the puzzle activity you did earlier)       • What happens when an artifact is taken out of its context?      • Why is the context important?       • Why were you able to write more about the artifact Gina found than you could about the one Pedro found? 4. Paragraph Four - write your opinion.       • Do you think what Pedro did with the artifact was right or wrong? Why?      • Do you think what Gina did with the artifact was right or wrong? Why?      • What would you do if you found an artifact? Essays will be due before school on MONDAY 10/16
