Please aim to lead with three ideas about power e.g. ‘Whilst in The Tyger, God’s power is used to create beauty, in My Last Duchess, the Duke uses power to control those around him.’

e.g. ‘Although both poems explore power struggles, in MLD, the duke seems obsessed to maintain the power of high class and status, whereas in TT, the persona struggles to comprehend power, rather than control it.’ 

e.g. Whilst both poems question power, the voice in TT generates questions over the nature of God, whereas in MLD, Browning infers the Duke’s murder of the Duchess which invites the reader to question his moral power.’
