You will be working on practical in today’s lesson, Shaun is kindly going to lead this with you. 

It would be lovely if you can all get your grooves in the timber by the end of the lesson. If you are waiting, you can sand your timber down removing any rough patches and then you can start to design your logo for the chopping board. If the laser cutter is not in action please leave the logo aspect. 

Shaun will need to demo H&S of hand sander- please make sure to keep fingers off the sand paper and only hold on the top, ensure you take breaks as the vibrations can be quite rough at times. Keep wires tucked out of the way. Full PPE including face visor and dust mask for all please. Ensure that hair is tied back. Spread out in the workshop, have a desk each.
