The test will be on THURSDAY 27th FEBRUARY after Half Term. To prevent the need for revision over half term, all homework before Half term will be tasks to help with revision

If you want to get a headstart, this will be your revision over the next few weeks;

  1. Homework being set on Thur 06/02;
    • In OneNote; Unit 1 > Lesson 05
    • Complete: 4 - Revision Qs
    • These are the questions that if you can do these, you will be well prepared for exam style questions...
      • Remember; To 'describe' graphs, you just need to state time ranges with a description of the journey - giving as much detail as you can, e.g
        • 0-10s = Boat travelled at constant velocity
        • 10-30s = Boat was stationary
        • 30-50s = Boat travelled at twice the speed as 0-10s etc.
        • Think of it as 1 mark per section, so you would not need to calculate the speed of each section unless it asks you too, just a clearly defined description is enough.
      • To 'explain what graphs show you', you need to describe the journey AND say what feature of the graph revealed this to you, e.g
        • 0-10s = Boat travelled at constant velocity (gradient of graph was constant)
        • 10-30s = Boat was stationary (graph was flat)
        • 30-50s = Boat accelerated (shown by curve of graph getting more steep)

There will be NO HOMEWORK over Half term.

I will put a reminder about your test on the homework app on the Monday we get back (24/02/25) so you can do some brief revision before the Thursday - but hopefully 2 weeks of revision homework now will mean this refresh after half term will only need to be minimal for you to feel ready for the test.
