You homework this week is designed to get you started on revision to prepare you for the test on Electricity.
I will confirm when the test will be next lesson, but the test WILL NOT BE NEXT WEEK.
(update; The test will be Tuesday 26th November. There will be a chance to do more revision/ask any more questions you have in the lesson tomorrow (18/11/26))
Task
- Read " Unit 1 (part 1)..." and "Unit 1 (part 2)..." containing the instructions on importing / using the StudySets in GoodNotes - You may know how todo this if you used them last year.
- Make a Folder in GoodNotes for "Physics Revision"
- Import the StudySet - TIP; If it crashes when you try to import them, go back to OneNote and try it a second time, it often works the second time.
- For the FIRST time using them, put GoodNotes in 'Practice Mode' to go through the StudySet in order, then when you go through them again in Smart Learn mode it will jumble them up.
- Make sure you WRITE AND KEEP your work to SHOW ME in the lesson
Do what you can in 20mins and STOP
I will ask you to show me what you have done in the start of next weeks lesson.
Some Do's and Don'ts to help you work 'SMART' in your 20mins;
DO...
- DO Keep your answers short - just write enough to show you know the key parts to the answer.
- DO CORRECT MISTAKES when you flip the card to reveal the answers. This will help your brain process and retain the correct information.
- DO CORRECTIONS IN A SECOND COLOUR PEN .
- DO write your answers to each card in subtitled sections either on Pukka Pad paper, or using 'scratch paper' feature... This will help you keep your work numbered and organised.
- DO NOT write out the question - it is a waste of time
- DO NOT erase any incorrect work, cross it out and correct it in a second colour - doing this helps your brain process and correct your mistakes.
Remember, your revision is your own work, it won't be marked, I just want to see what you can do in 20mins, so how you lay it out is up to you.
