Additional Info
Morning All,

So, although I am not here today, you also won't have a Physics lesson due to Taster Afternoon, but I'm afraid I do need to set you homework for this week...READ THE WHOLE INSTRUCTION BEFORE STARTING!!!!

In OneNote Unit 03 > Lesson 10 you will see I have completely remade "4 - TIR or Refraction - identification HANDOUTS" (the questions I showed you in class yesterday), to make it easy to navigate and see what you have to do.

There are more questions than you will be able to do in 40mins, so do as much as you can, THEN STOP

THE SOLUTIONS to the starter questions, and the example questions, are on the version in the CONTENT LIBRARY - PLEASE CHECK YOUR ANSWERS BEFORE STARTING WITH THE REST OF THE QUESTIONS;
  • Show all working out, and calculations in full
  • Label diagrams with all known/calculated angles
  • I HAVE ALSO MADE HINTS FOR EACH QUESTION AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE - USE THEM  they will help you with the order to tackle the problems to eventually decide if it is a TIR problem, or a Refraction problem.
  • Remember;
    • You can use n = 1 / Sin c to find n if you know c (or vice versa)
    • and n = Sin i / Sin r links n, i, and r, so if you know two of those values, you can always work out the third.
    • MAKE SURE you have correctly identified the angle of incidence - SOME diagrams identify OTHER angles that will allow you to work out i! Don't fall for a RED HERRING!!
