Waves Revision (+ Extra Doppler Effect help)
Year 2023-24
Date Due
Nov. 20, 2023, 8 a.m.
Additional Info
As a reminder, the Waves test will be next lesson.
Therefore your homework is;
- To import the revision Study Sets (Flashcards) from OneNote into GOODNOTES on your iPad, and use them to revise the Waves topic. The attachments you need, and the instructions on how to import them into GOODNOTES are on OneNote in;
- CONTENT LIBRARY;
- 00 - REVISION
- Unit 3: Waves;
- 9.1 - Flashcards + CHECKLIST
- THIS DOCUMENT ALSO CONTAINS THE REVISION LIST FOR THE TOPIC
- Remember, these StudySets contain EVERYTHING you need to know from this topic. IF it's on the cards you NEED to know it, if it is not, you DO NOT!
- There are also some practice exam questions with solutions in the content library
Things that will be accepted;
- Evidence you have had at least one complete run through of the GoodNotes StudySets (Flashcards), with answers written on pukka pad, or a blank Goodnotes document.
- Completed Exam questions (from content library in revision folder) with evidence you have used the solutions to check how you have done using the answers
- Well made flashcards/revision notes of your own, with detail, with evidence that they cover everything on the revision list (see note above about the attachment on OneNote with the StudySets to find the revision list)
Things that will NOT be acceptable;
- Tell me you read through your notes
- Signed notes saying you revised online
- A mind map with no detail that took 10min to put together
- Copying out your notes
THERE WILL BE TIME BEFORE THE TEST to review your revision, but I will want to see what you have done this week at home at the start of the lesson.
ON DOPPLER EFFECT;
IF you would like an extra worksheet to help you with the doppler effect, I have sent you worksheet 3 into Lesson 6 of your OneNote, with Solutions in the Content library - Remember, you do not have to be able to apply an understanding of the Doppler Effect to Light this year (that's in Year 10), so Part (b) of Q1 and 2 will only be relevant next year.
