Additional Info
THE ASTROPHYSICS TEST WILL BE NEXT TUESDAY (12TH DECEMBER)
  • I am conscious of how busy next week will be, so I would like to make sure you get the test done before the end of the week...If you know you will not be in Mondays lesson please email me as soon as possible, so we can arrange which lunchtime you will get the test done in.
We will Revise for the Astrophysics test this week,
So please start your revision at home for homework.
Too help you, please check the Unit 8 - Astrophysics folder in the Revision folder in the content library. In there you will find;
  • The flashcards to import into Goodnotes.
  • A summary Sheet (with solutions)
  • Multiple choice question pack
  • Past Paper Questions.
I'll go through a few bits in class this week to add to this, but that is plenty to get you started. My bits of advice;
  • You can't do practice questions until you have learnt the content
    • (i.e. Use flashcards a couple of times BEFORE you start on the past paper questions)
  • When you use the flashcards, WRITE your answers, but just write enough for you to be able to check if you know it, don't spend ages re-writing every card by hand
    • (i.e. just write the words that fill the gaps, or tick boxes in a quickly created grid, or a basic diagram with the keywords you need to be able to show YOURSELF (you are the only judge) that you know the content... save yourself some time so you can spend more time on past paper questions later.)
  • If you get an answer wrong, don't just cross it out, actually RE-WRITE the correct answer - it is the act of writing out that gives your brain the chance to process the knowledge you are trying to learn.
