Spinners Investigation - Graph + Conclusion

Year 2022-23

7Z-Physics

Date Due

Additional Info
Evening Year 7,

Apologies this didn't appear on Monday.  I will not be setting homework next lesson in the run up to Christmas, so I have given you an extra week to finish it off before we break up.

Your task is to finish off your graphs and scan them in on your OneNotes;
When scanning them in, do it in a well lit room, and use the DOCUMENT scan feature on OneNote to crop the image so it is clear to see your work.

1.  Finish the Graph of your results.
    • Length of spinners wings (in cm) on the X-Axis
    • Time to Fall (in s) on the Y-Axis.
    • Remember your Graph should include;
      • Title:  "A graph to show the relationship between..."
      • Even scales on the axes
      • Labels on the axes
      • Line/Curve of best fit (not dot-to-dot)
      • Units on the Axes)
      • X - Points with an 'X', (circled if they are anomalies that your line of best fit is ignoring)
Remember, you probably won't plot the points in the same order you did them... You probably recorded results with the longest wing first, so be careful to plot your points carefully... You are expecting the time to fall to increase as the wings get longer (ISH!!! - It WONT be perfect!!)

2.  Add a "Conclusion"
    • This should go after your graph, and should be three sentences MAX;
      • "My graph shows that as the length of the wings increases, the time taken to fall................. "
      • "This (does / does not) support my prediction."
      • "I had some anomalous results that do not fit my pattern.  One way I could improve / extend my investigation is to....."
