Day 33: pHet Concentration and Molarity

2018 - 2019

Chemistry

Date

Feb. 28, 2019

Additional Info
1. Google "pHet Concentration and Molarity"
2. Click on the first link
3. Click the play symbol (triangle) to launch app.
4. Follow the directions on your worksheet (see below)

Hints for Part 5:
1. Rewrite the saturated molarities for each salt solution from Part 3
2. Count the number of cations and number of anions and add to get TOTAL IONS
3. Divide (the SATURATED MOLARITY for that salt solution) by (the TOTAL IONS) = ION MOLARITY
4. To find the CATION MOLARITY = multiple # of CATIONS by ION MOLARITY
5. To find the ANION MOLARITY = multiple # of ANIONS by ION MOLARITY
6. To find TOTAL ION SOLUBILTY add Cation MOLARITY and ANION MOLARITY.
(Be sure to include M or mol/L as your unit in each column)

Hints for Conclusion Questions and Calculations Sections #8 and 9
Use saturated molarities from Part 3 to answer the why or why not that amount of salt would dissolve.
