  • We are starting Chapter 4, which I consider an "eclectic" chapter, dipping into many different topics that will be threaded through the year. It lays the groundwork for important concepts--some of which may be new and some of which may be review--including solution chemistry, acid-base titrations, precipitation, and redox.
  • Please read as much as you can in your hour dedicated to chemistry, using our suggested techniques to improve your focus and retention (pre-reading the titles and subtitles, posing some questions they invite, and reading/studying the diagrams and photos from the chapter -- all BEFORE you begin reading in earnest.) Jot down notes on the concepts or details that seem most important.
