  • Read ChemMatters magazine article about ballooning (as gas laws is our next chapter) on pp.14-15 - called "The Back Burner."    Then read at least one other article of your choosing -- either the article about lead poisoning or about liquid crystals. Both are excellent!
  • Crunch lab data (informally, just right on the page) from the hydrate lab, in the "calculations" questions at the end, in order to determine your experimentally-determined formula for the original blue copper (II) sulfate. We should be able to put class data on the board.
