Chemistry (G)

Date Due

Oct. 6, 2020

Additional Info
  • Make sure you have READ the introduction to the Pennium Lab.
  • Finish up your Pennium lab, including the histogram. Make sure your axes are nicely labeled and that you have a title. Show work thoroughly on any calculation Qs. For the question about "fractional abundance," list your answer as both as a fraction AND as a percentage. Be sure to explain any answers to questions in complete sentences-- pre-lab, calculations, critical thinking Qs on p. 53 AND 54 (not the "going further" though). And.....
  • If you are asked to find the average mass of each isotope, you have to SHOW your work (Q. 3). When you are asked to find the weighted average (Q.4), you need to use your answers from Q. 3 and Q. 2 and show your calculation.
  • Note that your TEXTBOOK has a section (3.3) that explains how to do average atomic mass calculations.
  •  Do the mole conversion exercises on page 87 in OneNote -- using factor label as we did in class. You only have a few to do --- the ones in red -- for now.
