AP Chem C and A (double) - TEST on Chapter 4

2020-2021

AP Chemistry (C)

Date Due

Oct. 26, 2020

Additional Info
  • TEST on CHAP 4 and Equation-writing (predicting various reaction types and writing net ionic equations). You need to memorize the major solubility rules, the six strong acids, and the strong bases. Review the recent handout on driving forces behind double replacement reactions. Take note of the "magic three." (Naturally, you DO still need to know your ions!) The test will consist of multiple choice, short answer, predicting net ionic reactions from word equations, balancing a redox equation using the oxidation number method, and quantitative predictions (stoichiometry) when two solutions are mixed. It is designed as a one-bell test, which works well if you have practiced solving the different types of problems so that you know how to be efficient.
  • Additional practice materials for equation-writing are posted under "Test review" or "Answer Keys" in OneNote-- the answer keys to Reaction Prediction 1, 2, 3 and 4 as well as all of the exercises in the packet. The more you practice, the better you'll get! I also posted a practice solution stoichiometry challenge and key.
