  • Review functional groups and the 4 types of organic rxns by using either the "organic packet" or the "Canadian packet" - both are excellent, particularly the Canadian Packet. Start at page K36 for the 4 rxn types.
  • Do the Organic Worksheets (on functional groups) in OneNote. Name any that you can, as well as identifying the functional group.
  • Do Exercise 6-3 in OneNote homework (it is also in the packet posted in the content library.) Be sure to show at LEAST the structural skeleton (with pegs for H atom positions) for the reactions involving addition, substitution, or esterification. The POSITION of the reaction site matters, so you need to show the structures rather than simply trying to show molecular formulas.
  • We will be tying up any loose ends in class.
