AP Chem (DOUBLE BELL) - ION QUIZ; Indium bromide problem due; Chapter 1 text

2020-2021

AP Chemistry (A)

Date

Aug. 24, 2020

Additional Info
  • STUDY IONS for your quiz today! In all cases, I will give you the name and you will be asked to provide the symbol and charge. FLASH CARDS (or Quizlet) may be a good idea as a study strategy. You will need to know these ions ALL YEAR, so keep your flashcards if you make them.
  • Indium Bromide problem is due. Give your best shot on it, but don't spend longer than 25 minutes (or so) unless you are enjoying the challenge and you have the time. Remember to show your work and labels, however far you got.
  • Work your way through the Chapter 1 text in Zumdahl with any time you have left. I suggest reading it in the manner I recommended for maximum self-learning--beginning with "priming your brain" by looking at the headlines and making up some questions you hope might be answered, as well as carefully reading all of the graphs, pictures, or diagrams BEFORE starting at the beginning of the chapter to read the text. Taking your own notes is recommended. If you feel confident about the material, which should be mostly review, feel free to start on the Ch. 1 Set 1 Homework in your folder.
