  • Correct the Chapter 1 Sets 1 and 2 exercises in OneNote, using the key posted in the content library resources. You should use a different color stylus for corrections; if nothing is wrong with a given series of questions, put check-marks to indicate that you checked them and they are already fine.
  • QUEST on CHAPTER 1 - You should be able to use the factor-label method (or "dimensional analysis") to solve problems. You are also responsible for any bold-faced terms ---in the textbook or on the background notes sheet (posted on OneNote). You may be asked to define terms and give examples, complete short answer Qs about chapter concepts, and solve problems using factor-label. You will be provided with metric-english conversions, but you need to know conversions within the metric system AND basic conversions within the English system, such as quarts to gallons, feet or yards to miles, inches to feet, seconds to minutes, minutes to hours, days to a year, etc. The metric system units you are expected to know are: nano, micro, milli, centi, deci, kilo, and mega. (giga and tera are handy, too...)
