  • Correct the thermochem real APs from Friday using the posted key(s)
  • QUIZ on Chapter 6 topics, including heat vs. temperature, specific heat capacity, calorimetry, enthalpy, stoichiometry, and Hess's Law (application).(The concepts of internal energy (E) and PV work will not be included on this quiz.) Bold-faced terms in 6.1-6.4 are fair game.
  • Remember to review the Chapter 6 notes you were given (and which were posted on OneNote), as well as class notes, screencasts, the text, and the homework problems.
  • Optional: If you didn't already.....finish the in-class worksheet, side 1 and 2, which provides great practice in applying Hess's Law
  • By the way, there is a really good short (1-2-page) explanation about why two substances in the same vicinity come to the same temperature in your textbook appendix on page A-28, section A7.2
  • As time allows, continue pecking away at the labs. It would be nice to have ONE done by the end of the weekend. You will have time after the quiz to work as well.
