2018-2019
Date Due
April 6, 2018
Additional Info
- At this point, you should have completed the reading for Chapter 12. Especially make sure you have read section 12.3 on Concentration of solutions. We will be gearing up for a quiz soon, but we need to practice molarity and molality problems first, along with some notes.
- Answer p. 406 #19-21 Be sure you SHOW WORK thoroughly on the molarity problems. Always begin by writing the definition of molarity, M= moles solute/L sol'n. Some common challenges are that you aren't told "moles' directly--you are told 'grams' instead, but you are capable of making that conversion! Likewise, you may be given mL of solution, when what you really need to know is LITERS of solution. Again, you are able to make a quick conversion before solving.
- Be sure to bring computers to class, so we can finish up that solubility lab graph.
- We also have a nice activity to do in the lab!
