  • Correct the Ch. 6 assignment from sections 6.1-6.4 from Monday using the key posted in the homework section of the content library.
  • Finish the twizzler and skittles activity we worked on in class on Tuesday by completing your valence electron counts and Lewis dot diagrams for any stations you didn't complete in class.
  • Answer the Qs at the end. (You may need to look up "resonance" and see if you can figure out which station had that as its theme? The Norton tutorial posted on OneNote does a GREAT job of explaining it, and they even show one of the examples from your lab. You should also DRAW the additional resonance structures from that station -- which you probably didn't realize how to do at the time!)
  • Read the final part of Chapter 6, section 6.5 on pages 187-197. This is what we will focus on in class - VSEPR Theory, molecular shapes, hybridization, and polarity.
  • Watch the Butler screencast posted on OneNote about intermolecular forces -- H-bonding, dipole-dipole, and London Dispersion
  • If you have time, you should also watch the Norton tutorials on hybridization and IMFs
