Your CHEMISTRY exam will cover Chapters 1-7 in your textbook.

  • FORMAT: Multiple Choice - 1 hour; Free Response, 1 hour (may include short answer, problems, and short essay)
  • Bring along a calculator and a pen or pencil as well as your tests to return.

SUGGESTED PREPARATION:

  • Go over your notes, handouts, homework, quizzes, and tests from each chapter. Try practice problems, rather than just "skimming." Take the practice test materials that are posted on Moodle, and check your answers. Make sure you memorize relevant equations, such as the wavelength, frequency and energy equations (2 of them) from the electron chapter. You will be provided with a periodic table, common ions, and constants, such as Planck's constant and the speed of light. You should know values like Avogadro's number and the metric prefixes.
