Chem C - finish POGIL; read text

2018-2019

Chemistry (A)

Date Due

Nov. 16, 2017

Additional Info
  • finish the POGIL activity we did in class, with the "boarding house" analogy for electron configurations; on the "extension" -- understand that a number of them are in "excited" states, where their electron configuration is not presently stable. In some cases, you are asked to write what the correct electron configuration would be if the atom were in the ground state
  • Read section 4.2 on quantum numbers, perhaps by "previewing" the main ideas and bold faced-terms before you actually read it. Ask yourself what Qs you expect the reading to answer, based on the big terms or diagrams. Then read it (and take notes?).
