- Complete the Volume of a Gas (Inquiry Lab) write-up in your lab notebook, following the instructions handed out on Thursday (not the more brief description at the bottom of the original handout); If you lost the sheet, both sides are posted in OneNote Chapter 6 (Thermo) resources. You should have your own data table, which includes the volume you DID actually get, and the mass you DID actually measure on the analytical balance, etc.
- You should be done or close-to-done with Gas Laws Set 2 (may require you to study the Butler notes as well as the textbook)
- If you want to get a jump on the week, which will focus on Hess's Law, you should make sure you/ve 1.) Done the Norton Tutorial on Hess's Law 2.) Watched the Butler Screencast on Hess's Law Shortcut (known as my "Darth Vader" imitation, with the microphone too close!) , and 3.) Read the textbook on Hess's Law. Only THEN will you be equipped to tackle Set 3 in the homework.
- Our lab will be determining the Specific Heat of a Metal using calorimetry!
