  • Crunch the numbers from the calorimeter calibration , last Thursday, carefully following directions on that one lab page where it explains step by step what to do. (You will need a graph, which we will generate in class on Monday.) The goal is that you should be able to state the numeric value for the heat capacity of YOUR calorimeter!
  • We will be doing the Hess's Law lab in class. (You were given a lab packet.) You need to READ the lab first, so that you understand what is going on. We will be using your calibrated calorimeters to collect the data.
  • If you want to get a jump on the next content, feel free to start reading Chapter 7, as we will be beginning the section of the course on electron configurations and quantum numbers.
  • Also looking ahead.... begin reviewing for Friday's test on Chapters 5-6. The BEST way to study is to do difficult multiple choice and/or other Qs posted on OneNote or at the end of each chapter in your textbook.
