  • Make sure you have read section 12.4 and carefully studied the Butler notes (handed out in class and posted on Moodle) on integrated rate laws.
  • We will continue to work through zero, 1st, and 2nd order reactions in class; you can also refer to the Moodle site for web resources to help your understanding of zero and second order rate laws. There is also a Butler screencast (on Moodle) on 1st order reactions and the integrated rate law.
  • complete Set #3 textbook Qs (as best you can)--: p. 595 #38-41 and p. 596-7 # 45-6: 49 OR 50: 52, 55, and 58. We need to be FINISHED with this section on integrated rate laws very shortly. Please bring your calculator to class!
  • Hint:  Be sure to SHOW any equation you are using BEFORE you plug numbers in and solve; for a number of the exercises, you may need to PLOT different variations (such as ln of the [ ] or reciprocal of the [ ] as a function of time to decide what the order is
