Assignment Details
AP Chem A - Real AP's, Practice MC, Start Ch. 11, REVIEW!, etc.
2018-2019
Date Due
April 23, 2018
Additional Info
- By now, you should have finished reading Chapter 18 on Electrochemistry -- including galvanic and electrolytic cells, the Faraday, the Nernst equation, and applications, such as electroplating and corrosion
- Complete the 2 Real APs handed out in class --from 2015 -- a galvanic cell (with a picture) and 2014, an electrolytic cell (also with a picture). You should write ON SEPARATE PAPER, numbering exactly as they do. You would have 23 minutes for each problem on the real exam.
- Recommended, as time allows: Complete as much as you can of the 2 2-sided multiple choice "tests" with answer keys on the back; show work or scribbles on each problem that requires some thought, and CIRCLE or STAR the ones you are missing or don't understand, so we know what we need to go over in class; they are posted on OneNote.
- If any time remains, read the "Electrochemical Errors" article and/or continue working on albert i.o. -- with the plan of having a total of 75 completed by this Sunday evening at 6 pm -- and finally, 100 Qs by NEXT Sunday.
- AND......if possible (you'll be glad!) Begin your blast through Ch. 11 on Solutions and Colligative Properties!
- Start with Butler Screencasts and/or Norton Tutorials posted on Moodle Section 16 (Chapter 11) (if you didn't do this over Spring Break). These will help you to learn a LOT on your own, an important skill for you to have. I have carefully chosen all the items posted to help make your learning efficient while providing the information you really need to know!
- Read or Skim the text -- Zumdahl Chapter 11. Zumdahl notes are also posted on Moodle, along with other EXCELLENT resources!
