Additional Info
Hola chicas,
I'm very sorry, but I am not here for our lesson today. However, Miss McAleavy is covering the lesson, so she can help with any language questions - please don't hesitate to ask her!
Please complete the following in today's lesson:
1. Go to OneNote > Unidad 2 > 2.2 Tengo mucho que hacer > Starters and complete the second slide asking questions about the verb 'soler' which we saw in yesterday's lesson.
2. Then go to Unidad 2 > 2.2 Tengo mucho que hacer > Notes and start with the slide with the reading activity about Puerto Rico (it has three pictures on, a 'Cultura' box and reading activity. Please read the text then list, in English, which activities Elena does on holiday. Then answer what you think Puerto Rico means literally in English?
3. On the next slide, do the reading activity filling in the gaps with the correct missing word and find the 5 different phrases in the text and write them out.
4. On the next slide, translate the text into Spanish.
5. On the next slide, read the common expressions and slang used in Spanish, then choose an expression that is fitting for the scenarios a-e.
6. On the next slide, you have the listening transcript to help you answer the listening exercise on the following slide. Use the transcript to answer who does what activities, then write out the expressions in Spanish - which you can find in the transcript again.
7. On the next slide, complete the parallel translation.
8. On the next slide, read through the sentence builder and check you understand all the vocabulary.
9. Go to Unidad 2 > 2.2 Tengo mucho que hacer > Speaking Worksheet and work with a partner going through the activities.
10. EXTENSION - If you are super-duper speedy, on the final slide in Notes, there is a small writing task for you to have a go at :)
All answers for the work are on OneNote under Unidad 2 > 2.2 Tengo mucho que hacer > Las respuestas. Please use the last 5 minutes at the end of the lesson to self-mark and check all the work you have completed in the lesson. If you have any queries, please ask Miss McAleavy.
Gracias,
Miss Peters
