Additional Info

  1. Students can work on the assignment: "You Can't Write a Poem about McDonald's" with a partner, group of 3, or independently. 

  2. After "You Can't Write a Poem about McDonald's" is done, students will work on constructing their own original poem.

  3. They will need to complete the graphic organizer titled: Imagery Poem Graphic Organizer before they write their poem.

  4. Students can start constructing their Imagery Poem if they have time today in class.

  5. I have a model of my own Imagery Poem graphic organizer and my own Imagery Poem titled "Nearly Flying" attached on the Google Classroom assignment. Students should use my model to guide their thinking.

*If any student finishes all of the listed above, they can study for their Poetry Quiz using my Quizlet, which is posted on their ELA Google Classroom.


Homework: None! Students could start studying for their Poetry Vocabulary quiz which will be on Thursday, 12/22.
