8X - You are going to be making posters.

These posters need to be:

1. Scientifically accurate Ð use your notes to help you.
2. Good enough to go on the wall Ð think big, clear writing, lots of colour.
3. Fully completed by the end of todayÕs lesson Ð you need to manage your time well.

You are going to work in groups of 2-4. There should not be any groups with more than 4 people in.

Each group needs to make a poster on a different topic.

The options are:

1. The development of the earthÕs atmosphere, including its composition today.
2. Uses of the different gases in the air.
3. Reactions of oxygen with carbon, iron, magnesium, sulfurand sodium (include observations and word equations).
4. The fire triangle.
5. Combustion of fuels (products of complete and incomplete combustion, word equations).
6. How to test for: water, carbon dioxide and hydrogen.
7. Fossil fuels (uses of them, how they are formed).

Everything you need will be at the front of the lab. You are not allowed to open the stationary cupboard and take anything from it that you like.
